Conclusion

Overall, I think this project went very well. My team's original idea was to only implement a texting program. That task is still in progress with Coordination between SafeChatSV and LivePerson (the program for the SMS service and website host). In addition to this, my team also came up with an optimal schedule for the SafeChatSV advocates so that staff are working when the users are in the highest demand. We also researched and suggested a way that the organization can reach users of other languages. Since they have advocates that speak multiple languages, this would make a good use of their abilities. To do this, we found a snippet of code that incorporates Google Translate into their website so user can choose from a variety of languages in which to view the site. These three things together all work toward helping SafeChatSV reach their goal of supporting more survivors of domestic abuse.
